Of course, golfers in the Bay Area know that Sequoyah Country Club- 104 years young- has a great history. PGA events in the 30s and 40s. Many other notable tournaments.

Club course record is 60 scored in 1955 by the great Don Whitt.

After a major redesign creating even more challenging holes completed over a ten year period by Terry Grasso and Doug Nichols, just today, a pro shop employee – Taylor Travis – a USF college golf team member from a few years ago- eagled holes 16 and 18 to complete a stunning round of 63.

I’m thinking Whitt’s record might soon be in jeopardy. Interestingly, when Whitt set the record, he finished with bogie, bogie on the last two holes!
